Eastman Kodak Co. announced the release of two new film families, the Ektacolor Pro color negative films and Ektapan black-and-white negative films. The films carry new branding for the Portra family of professional color films and the TMax series of black-and-white films. For example, the ISOs of the Ektacolor Pro films – 160, 400, and 800 – match exactly those of the Portra range, Kodak’s professional color negative films. Meanwhile, Kodak says, “The Kodak Ektapan family of continuous-tone panchromatic black-and-white negative films is available in ISO 100, 400, and P3200 – offering exceptional image quality for detailed subjects. The Ektapan family’s wide latitude allows for push-and-pull processing with good results. Its ability to handle a high degree of enlargement ensures that even the most intricate details are preserved.”
